06 Sep Lotto-Belgium Tour Preview (WE 2.1)
The 5th edition of the Lotto-Belgium Tour is held from Tuesday, September 6th until Friday, September 9th. Riders will have to cover approximately 331 kilometres throughout four stages, including a prologue. As in the four previous editions of the race the final stage will finish in the iconic municipality of Geraardsbergen, with two ascents to Kapelmuur and Bosberg.
Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten will be back to competition after the heartbreaking crash she suffered during Rio Olympics road race. The race will allow the fighting Dutch rider to assess her fitness level and determine what to do next in her preparation for Doha 2016 Road World Championships.
A total of 23 teams, including five national teams, and 128 riders will participate in this edition of Lotto-Belgium Tour. Belén López, Alba Teruel, Gloria Rodríguez, Empar Felix and Alicia González (Lointek) will be our Spanish representatives at the Belgian stage race.

Swedish rider Emma Johansson (Sweden National Team) won the previous edition of the Lotto Belgium Tour finishing 6 seconds ahead of Danish rider Amalie Dideriksen (Denmark National Team) and thirteen seconds ahead of Dutch rider Anna van der Breggen (Netherlands National Team).
